Went to Tuscaloosa Friday to visit a friend and to try the famous Dreamland BBQ. I can honestly say I don't understand what the attraction is. The sauce was okay, tangy, but the ribs themselves were mostly gristle and fat and what meat there was was very tough. I'm not a rib connoisseur, so I don't know if it was me or the ribs (although my friend did say they used to be better). Aren't good ribs supposed to fall off the bone? Can someone tell me what makes the ribs so great at this institution?
