Was headed over to Allyn's for eggs benedict and a bloody yesterday but, seeing a brunch sign at Copperfields on 44, decided to stop there. Just writing to warn y'all not to repeat my mistake.
The hollandaise resembled Campbell's cream of yellow soup and melted plastic, with a slightly effervescent tang, the homefries were wet, the eggs overdone, the bloody insipid. I was afraid to finish.
Strangely, the joint was jumpin, with furniture crashing all around us. It felt like having brunch in the "F Troop" saloon.
