I have friends coming to town for just the day, and wouldn't you know it, they booked a hotel on the Champs-Elysees. As they are traveling with kids, but apparently pretty foodie-like kids, and will be jetlagged, i assured them i would reserve at some very nearby place where we can have a good, traditional French meal, family-style.
And then I realize that my usual standbys in that area, never mind the less "en famille" places more often discussed on this forum, are all closed for Saturday midi.
Does anyone know of an adequately teen/tweens-friendly place that serves very good, preferably traditional, even brasserie-style food for Saturday lunch within a kilometer or two of the Champs, radiating from George V out? Price is a factor, and given the kids and jetlag, I wouldn't want to do anything star-ish, but quality and authenticity are the primary concerns. In other words, definitely not Hippo, despite the balloons, but neither L'Astor, much as I would like to ....
