Dragon Court - Late Night Dining

critical1 | Feb 24, 2004 12:22 AM

Dragon Court has a nice late night menu, til around 2 am. The deal is 5 items for $23.95, which is a great deal. We had the salt & pepper pork chop, gai lan with oyster sauce, congee w/ black egg, clams in black bean sauce, and XO beef over pan fried noodles.

Everything was fine and hit the spot. I especially enjoyed the nice piping hot congee late at night...yum! I barely tasted the XO in the beef, but it was delicous regardless. The pork chop was run of the mil. The clams tasty, but didn't blow me away. The Gai lan fresh and nicely prepared.

The portion varied. The congee, noodle, and vegetable dish are nicely sized. The pork chops and clams were a bit skimped. But overall, a great deal and more than enough food for two.

There's one catch. There is no English version of the late night menu. Just use your charm.

On my two visits here, I haven't been totally blown away...but Dragon Court has already won me enough to convince me to become a regular.
