Downtown work group lunch - new ideas?

cellophane_star | Nov 6, 201308:15 AM

Hi all, I'm looking for group lunch ideas from my fellow downtown workers.

My work group of 10-12 people are doing a group lunch before the Christmas break. We wouldn't need to book a private room or anything but we would need a reservation.

The problem is that we usually end up at "safe", mediocre restaurants like The Keg. The group is mostly older and not very experimental with food (ie: sushi is out). Last year we went to West in Scotia Centre... meh.

Oh and budget-wise, we're looking at places $20 or less for entrees so good places like Chicago Chophouse are unfortunately out.

Does anyone have any suggestions that I might not have considered? We're closest to Eau Claire Market but would go as far as Chinatown/Stephen Ave.

(Please do not suggest the following: Barley Mill, Joey's, Spaghetti Factory or Ric's Grill/Mimi's in Centennial Place.)
