Need a new downtown/weekend pancake option

tanno | Oct 12, 201812:57 PM     8

Where to go early AM, when diner pancakes won't do?

I love pancakes. My six year old son loves pancakes. We love to go out for pancakes!

We usually go to the Hollywood Diner, which is nearby, but it's my birthday weekend, and I'd like to take him out for a pancake upgrade. And because he's six, he can't wait around for a table to open up at Clinton St. Bakery. (To be honest, neither can I. I invented hangry.)

Where can we go for excellent pancakes some morning at 8 or 9 AM, that's better than a diner, possibly even on the weekend? Need diner hours, but don't want diner pancakes. Extra gratitude bonus points if the spot is reasonably close to Chelsea/Flatiron/West Village. Thanks!
