Downtown SEA/Pioneer Square delivery options?

terrier | Dec 19, 200504:23 PM

So I'm generally enjoying culinary life in Seattle since moving from NYC 8 months ago, but for one nagging thing*:

I haven't found a single non-pizza establishment that delivers dinner to Pioneer Square. Not a single damn place.

Even the few places I've found in the ID that claim to offer delivery (like Four Seas) seem to be just pretending - every time I've called it's been "sorry, no delivery tonight."

I'm aware of a couple of "take-out taxi" style services that take 60-90 minutes to deliver (cold) food from various (crap) restaurants for a small (large) fee. This is not what I'm looking for.

Does anyone else here have any recommendations for us downtown dwellers? I don't care about the genre, just anything but pizza.

* - OK, one other complaint: restaurants that close early. I don't care if I'm showing my east-coast roots here, but I refuse to accept that 8 PM (or even 9) is too late for dinner. Why do so many places around here bother staying open past 3pm only to close at 7?!
