Downtown Pizza Delivery

Craig | May 24, 2005 11:54 AM

So I've decided to re-open Pandora's Box and start a new pizza topic. I would like to hear about your favourite DELIVERY pizza places in DOWNTOWN Toronto. I know there is a lot of good pizza to be had at sit-down restaurants (e.g. Terroni's) but I always find that when I'm in the mood for pizza, I'd rather have it in the comfort of my own home.

I'll start with two recent very positive experiences I've had with downtown delivery pizza, and I hope people can add to it.

- Peter's Cajun Creole (http://peterscajun.tripod.com/). Just had this on the weekend, and it was delicious. Soft, fairly thick crust, decent sauce, and very fresh toppings. Plus, you can get pizza with huge whole crawfish on it! How cool is that? BTW, the website is horrible -- ask me if you have trouble getting to the menu.

- Valley Pizza (416-777-0777). Awesome white sauce pizzas. Normal red sauce pizzas are good, but not great. Unfortunately, they don't have a menu online, but I've seen a printed one so you can just ask for it when you order.

Your turn! I'm especially interested in small, one-shot restaurants rather than big chains (Pizza Pizza) or local chains (Mamma's, Amato, etc.), even though I know some of these are good. Hope to hear lots of opinions/suggestions -- links to menus encouraged!

Thanks!

Craig

PS -- Yes, I know "there is no good pizza in Toronto," "you can't expect good pizza to be delivered," and that pizza tastes are incredibly diverse and subjective. Let's get beyond these criticisms and see if we can come up with a constructive list of the best Toronto has to offer.
