Downtown Chowhound moving to N.Dallas - Followup

Steve N. | Mar 8, 2005 09:21 AM

In response to my request for recommendations in N.Dallas many of you wanted to know my tastes. Well, first I like the prices to be reasonable for most meals. We will go to places like Lola for the occasional "night out," but with two young kids now we are mostly looking for good food at good prices. I am from NY, my wife is from Puerto Rico, and we met in DC, so we both enjoy a diverse menu. We are pretty much willing to try any ethnicity of food. For those that wanted a landscape of some of my downtown dining choices, here it is:

Breakfast - Garden Cafe, El Mercado Cocina Mexicana, Cuquita's

Mexican - Mia's, Pepe y Mito's, Taqueria Lupita, Nuevo Leon

BBQ - Mac's, Holy Smokes

Chinese (Delivery) - Snow pea

Thai - Royal Thai

Pizza (Delivery) - Sal's

Latin - La Duni, Zaguan

Cajun - Crescent City, Alligator Cafe

Fancy - Lola

Sandwiches - Potbelly

Mediterranean - Cafe Izmir, Ali Baba

Hamburgers - Bailey's 1st & 10, Who's Who

Fried Chicken - Bubba's

Various - Eatzi's

Indian - India Palace (N.Dallas - but would like more choices)
