downtown brooklyn/metrotech: GOLDEN FRIED DUMPLINGS

This is a real mom and pop place in downtown brooklyn on duffield at willoughby that mostly serves metrotech employees. its fairly new, there used to be a jamaican place in the spot. they are very kind and much care is put into the preparation of the food, which you can watch being made. they get easily overwhelmed at lunch so try to avoid that time. small menu, everything is $1-4 including various dumplings, buns, pancakes and a few soups and other items. dumplings are very good, buns not so much. it wont blow your mind but its a decent cheap and local lunch where all the talk is the new five guys that opened up. with dekalb market closed for the winter this place is a great option if you are in the neighborhood.
