i didn't realize that Air Canada now has direct flights YVR to Anchorage. Great news.
anyway - it's a possible plan for the longest day of the year --- not sure how much darkness we'll see.
just wondered if any cross-border Cascadia Vanc chows had been up there. and in advance, i know there's no trader joe's in AK. ; )
i think CBS media company will want us to discuss on the Pac NW board - but i asked on the BC site because i value neighbourly input from compatriots.
i have read the various inputs about Anchorage - seems like a surf & turf kind of place, which makes sense for a resource / cruise ship economy.
anyone who has input - we'll be staying in the downtown (i hope it's a downtown) area -- near a Sheraton, the Captain Cook - etc. We are flying up - no boats for us. We will not have a car tho i have read about the pizza place out toward Seward.
