Possible Downhill Report - Bungalow, Corona del Mar

I really hope I'm wrong, as this is one of our favorite restaurants, we recommend all of the time, have always had happy guests, great memorable parties, and... had one of the worst meals ever there this weekend.

Started out with the Caesar - oily, limp & warm. Not a good start. Then the Bone-In Rib Eye, their specialty & one of my favorite all-time steaks. It was overly tendony, overdone (ordered med rare), top was over-seasoned & mushy, thinner than usual and really not much flavor, bordering on an off-flavor. Sent it back & everyone seemed very shocked. Ordered the halibut, which was a special that night & they don't always have. Always my favorite halibut in OC when they have it. It too, was rather over-cooked & small thin piece. Beurre blanc sauce was dull. Usual pyramid of seasoned rice had slimey pineapple chunks in it, which I didn't like at all... I really want to give them another chance, as it's our favorite go-to restaurant in the Fall & Winter when not as crowded, but at their prices, which I heartily agree are worth it when they're on, I'm not so sure...
