Downhill alert: Yazmin (Alhambra)

Maybe I'm late to the party here, but this place seems to have gone seriously downhill from a few years ago, despite no change (I think) in management. Was just in for lunch today.

It's always been fast, but this was like, lightning-fast food service, and tasted like it was just sitting in a warming tray. Ordered mee goreng, roti canai, beef satay and string beans. The sauce of the first three items was basically identical - just curry-powder curry sauce. The mee goreng was swimming in same sauce as the roti, the satay sauce was just sort of vaguely-peanuty curry sauce. Those little white rice cubes with the satay were foul, etc. Beans were wilted, not warm, and totally bland (ordered them w/ garlic but didn't notice much of that). Had to send the beef back b/c it just tasted old - like without any discernible flavor. As I did, the owner/waiter said "is it tough? You shoulda gotten the chicken. Want the chicken?"

Eh, no.

So, I've been defending this place, and maybe I'm just ordering wrong, but this was pretty disappointing. The roti itself was really good, clearly freshly made. Guess maybe they're skimping on other stuff?
