Dorsoduro in August

I will be renting an apartment (hopefully) in Calle Cerchieri, which is just one canal south of San Barnaba. I will be there for a few last days of August, leaving on September 1st.

I remember from my visit about 3 years ago that there was a very nice street filled with local trattorias and nice simple eateries somewhere around Dorsoduro. I ate there in one of the Chowhoud highly appreciated eateries but I don't remember the name. Does anyone know what street I might mean?

In any case, could you please recommend a few of local eateries - focus on food, price is not important, but atmosphere should be rather informal and familial, but if food is delicious, I can dress up. They should be open in August though.

I also have a question about a wine bar. Almost opposite the church of San Trovaso is a bridge and a little very lively wine bar. It seems to attract many locals and tourists alike but still retains a very nice atmosphere. We bought some strawberry wine there (among other bottles). Does anybody know if they would be open in August?

Deeper research is impossible for me right now courtesy of twin toddlers jumping up and down 20 hours per day :-) (fortunately not travelling with us). Thanks very much for any and all help, it is very appreciated!
