doner kabob sauce

I'm looking for a sauce that was used in an after-pub cheap eat place Dublin. I've seen recommendations for tzatziki, hummus, tahini, and many chile sauces. The one I'm trying to copy (to no avail) was a sweeter spicy sauce. One too many pints and not great at copying on the fly have made this a challenge. I know I'm not giving you much to go on, but would so appreciate any suggestions and/or guidance!
