Donabe style dishes - what pot do you use?

This fall I'd like to experiment with some Japanese hot-pot style cooking. I'm in induction user, so traditional clay is out, and though induction-capable Donabe pots can be had, I'm not keen on getting something so specific in purpose. However, I have a Staub 5.5 qt /26cm Dutch oven. For people who are versed in Japanese hot-pot, do you think the Staub will be too big? It's certainly deeper than a traditional Donabe pot, but I think it would work, yes?

Am considering adding the Staub Perfect Pan (linked below) to my collection in the future, would it have any advantages over the deeper cocotte for hot pots?
