Before I go into my rant, I want to state that I LOVE the food, drinks and physical environment at Dona Tomas. In fact, I had my birthday party this year in the red room (bar area).
BUT, does anyone else have a problem with the attitude from the manager/hostess there? Granted, I have given her the opportunity to be rude, with my gaffes- no reservations on a Friday night, more attendees at my birthday party than we had anticipated etc., but I am almost certain (with not much first-hand experience) that good service would entail "handling" gaffes with grace, even if that means not letting the diner off the hook. To clarify, I am not of the "customer is always right" camp, just an individual who expects to be treated without arrogance by her fellow human beings. After mucho attitude at my birthday party, I sent them a thank you/apology note the next day for handling the crowd with patience.
And what I mean by attitude is being chastised in a "you should know better" manner for the above slipups. I hope my post isn't seen as picking on someone, but after multiple unsettling interactions, I've got to know if this is just us.
