While I previously have recommended DOMA in response to others’ posts, I want to post again about this place because I think it’s deserving of some love. DOMA is mostly-Italian (with a few Asian-inspired exceptions – a sashimi dish and an Asian salad – and the DOMA burger), and it’s in the old Prego location, a couple doors north of Mr. Chow on N. Camden in BH. It’s my go-to place for business lunches in walking distance of my office, and my teenage kids love it when they are in town. I’ve eaten plenty of pastas, pizzas, salads and starters there, and the food is consistently delicious. And the service could not be better or friendlier. Incidentally, DOMA is owned by the same folks who own Dan Tana, which gets more than its share of ink on this board, but the vibe and the refinement of the food are totally different notwithstanding the common ownership. DOMA also has a nice outdoor seating area, which I enjoyed today (and which prompted this endorsement); it’s a lovely place to enjoy the visual offerings of the BH Triangle on a sunny summer day (and by that, of course, I mean the Lotuses, McLarens and, in this afternoon’s case, a Ford GT). Today’s lunch was an Italian lentil soup, with lemon and crème fraiche, and Arancini Bolognese, both delicious, and a mound of their house-made bread. Pictures attached.
