Dojo v. Blue Ribbon Izakaya v. Yuba

Marty L. | Apr 2, 201502:13 PM

Coming from out of town this weekend and promised my kid sushi for his 18th birthday that's better than what we can get here in DC -- but not at the top end, such as Brushstroke or 15 East (or beyond). Kura is closed for vacation; and Kuroyama omakase apparently starts at $135, which is more than we'd like to spend. Looks as if a table--but not the bar--is available at Dojo; whereas seats at the bar are available at Blue Ribbon Izakaya. Would one be distinctly better than the other? Thanks in advance. (Update: And what about Yuba? Had a great meal there about five years ago, and it's not hard to find raves about it elsewhere -- but it's barely mentioned at all here.)
