Dohatsuten (Japanese ramen)

shanghaikid | Dec 5, 201007:14 AM

Dohatsuten is across from ohlone college in the hills of fremont.

menu: ramen, tapas, and iron yakimeshu(crispy rice with choice of toppings)
many renditions of ramen. dohatsuten(7.99) with tonkotsu broth (+1) was above average with toppings on the edge of anemic.

the stars here are the tapas:
-chicken karaange (6) juicy, not burnt. not blackish brown. light brown with ranch dip.
-agedashi tofu(4) crispy outsides with velvety insides.
-white tuna takaki (7?) steak like, reddish, above average, compare wood tavern's version, 2 piece for 6?

go for the tapas, ramen ok, broth is just so so.
