DogHaus in Pasadena, just visited too, three dogs in two days...

I had the speciality dog with fried tempura onion rings, avocado, and mixed greens on 1/4 pound dog and it was really darn good, except for the bun, which was unique and interesting but a sweet hawaiian bread just doesn't work for a hot dog, i also had some chili cheese fries which were ok at best, i'm not a fan i've come to realize of the tommy's style of chili and this reminded me of that. though it was better than tommy's. (though sadly they were addictive after i tried a few and polished off virtually the whole dish, but it is very heavy, after that dog and a slice of rasberry cake and cappuchino from Europane i couldn't eat anything after that late afternoon lunch). i couldn't even smoke a postprandial cigar, which is amazing on a cold, chilly, almost wintery day. maybe next time i'll just order two of the speciality dogs and a soda and skip the fries.
