Dning in South Beach

lmcsherr | Jan 28, 201112:35 PM

hey there chowhounds.

Sweetie and I are spending five days in South Beach next weekend and have made a few decisions about where to eat -- I'd love your feedback.

We will not have a car, so walking and the occasional taxi is our menas of trasport. We're also not going to leave the SB area. While we are moderately adventurous, we recognize that there are levels of 'foodie' to which we will not go. We don't like spicy food, but enjoy food with spice used to complement the flavor (not overwhelm it). We live in the PNW, so a bunch of sushi & seaffod meals will be a tad boring. (But, maybe not!)

We're lookoing at:
VanDyke Cafe, dinner on Saturday (afternoon spent wandering Lincoln Road)
We're going to tour the Biltmore hotel -- any ideas about where to have lunch on Sunday?
Tap Tap restaurant, dinner on Sunday
Cocktails at The Setai on Monday night, then we're going to the ballet -- is the Setai a good place for a light meal before theballet? (We're spending the day touring the Art Deco district)
Lunch at The News Cafe on Tuesday
Delano Bar -- early dinner on Tuesday

thanks in advance!
