New to DMV area my reviews and questions

mrsjoujou | Jun 26, 2017 08:53 AM

Hi,
Moved to Herndon, VA area from Orange county/L.A. area in April. We have been to bunch of places for lunch/brunch. So far my experience have been mostly positive. I have noticed for the most part portions are in the smaller side for the price. L.A. was similar but some portions are even smaller here .

I am looking for your favorite brunch spots that offers creative/seasonal food. Not your typical egg and waffle dishes.
Is Salt Line worth it?
DeSales?
Federalist Pig?
Arroz?

Good French bakery and healthier bakeries that uses ancient grains for crusty breads and baked goods. So far I have not found any good croissant that is buttery and flaky.
Is Souk bakery any good?
How about Maketto for their pastries?

I have the following on my list. Which ones are worth it? I prefer creative food and can not eat spicy or high carb food anymore. I save my carbs for bakeries. Any hidden gems that you can share?

I have been to Reston, Herdon (Very small) and Dupont. I noticed less organic and higher prices compared to the Hollywood farmers market. Less variety also. Any good farms I should be looking for?

Thanks.
