I truly underestimated Django's popularity, called up today and there was absolutely nothing available this Saturday at any time! My usual strategy has been calling and making reservations for early dinner ie 6pm, worked everytime (even worked for Morimoto) until this time...
Well the occasion is my wife's b'day, this will be a warm up before a day trip to NYC for the big splurge. But anyway down to the details, need something Django 'esque. Entrees around $15-$20 range does not have to be BYOB. Not too concerned about atmosphere.
Looked up olds posts on the board and have shorlisted these recent recommendations Alison Cafe, Overtures, Pigalle, Pif. Has anyone been to all of the above and have any opinions on top pick and it's merit over the others. Also open to other suggestions.
Please do not recommend these usual suspects. I decided not to shortlist, for one reason or another:
fork, nan, cuba libre, caribou, blue angel, bistro st tropez, little fish, no asian.
Thanks in advance.
