First want to thank everyone for their suggestions--I just love this board. Dinner started out with 3 chowhounds and 1 I only eat chicken and their is no chicken on the menu person. Here goes--Appetizers--my husband had the Ceci Bean Soup with socca crisp,sweet-sour date and pepper caponata and virgin oil( my review of this soup would be --do you think they would mind if I licked the bottom of the bowl so I wouldn't miss a drop) the socca crisp lay on the top of the soup like a crepe-yum yum. I had the Tuna confit "Pissaladiere",white bean puree, crisp capers and petit salad--very good. My daughter shared with boyfriend(I only eat chicken) Roasted Quail, hunter's bread and bird stuffing, fragrant quince and quail sauce--this was a winner(her boyfriend even liked it).My husbands entree was the Overnight Pork Shoulder,Mushroom Polenta, Shaved Manchego,Smokey Pork Sauce--I felt that the pork was overcooked(a little dry) but my husband kept making that cooing noise that I know means he's very happy. I had the Lamb and White Bean Cassoulet,Stewed Shank, Sausage, Rib Chop, and Toasted Crumbs--very good lamb was very pink. My daughter had Fresh Ricotta Tortellini, Caramelized Belgian Endive, in lemon sauce---endive was very bitter but the rest of the dish was excellent. Her boyfriend had the Fresh Horseradish Crusted Salmone(minus the horseradish crusted---found out later that he thought it was going to be the stuff that you put on you hot dogs at the ballpark)--must of been good because he was done his meal before any of us and didn't leave a crumb or should I say flake. For dessert I had the Artisan cheese plate and it did look like a piece of art-- yum yum art that is. My husband had Chocolate Almond Terrine,Crunchy almond praline and Almond ice cream and my daughter and her boyfriend had Hazelnut Madeleines,French Roast Coffee Ice Cream with vanilla sauce--the ice cream on both desserts was superior--only wish they give bigger scoops. Great Meal --Great Wine--Good Company--we will make a chowhound out of him yet. I think I'll close and go get a bite to eat!!!
