Before visiting the dentist at Tampa and Victory, we stopped by International Food and Produce which advertises itself as a Deli. Food Hall would be more appropriate because beyond the produce shelves is a dizzying array of fish - sealed in plastic = all kinds, and lots of different cans of herring, sardines, sprats and my all time favorite - cod roes -two kinds one Russian, one from Norway. Then on to the bread and cakes and up to the huge number of salads, cold meats and Serge the "Chief Chef" hovering around with plates of fresh this and that plopping the plates into the show cases. Lots of tastes and we came away with Mushroom Caviar ($5.99 Lb)- truly and unbelievably delicious and several different eggplant salads, pirochki (sp?), meat patties, fresh made chicken sausage, sliced marinated tongue. Also bought red salmon caviar $21.99 lb. Had the choice of about a dozen vegetable salads. We took the menu home - they list 53 items for take out. Cheese filled deep fried doughnut/danish/yummy bought by partner was so rich, half is still in the refrigerator. No tables yet for lunch but this is worth a trip to stock up for our Easter Dinner for 30. Eclectic cuisine - some Israeli stuff but also pork dishes. Cuisine is Russian with leaning (according to Serge) to the cooking of Kazakhstan (one of the nations bordering the Caspian Sea). Serge also chefs for Habib in Westwood, an Egyptian restaurant.
