diverse restaurant blocks

Ruth Lafler | Oct 10, 200105:28 PM

I walked up to the edges of Chinatown (Kearny) today at lunch, and ended up walking back down Sacramento.

I was struck by the combination of restaurants jammed together on the north side of the 600 block of Sacramento (btw Kearney and Montgomery): a Cal-Mex taqueria, two Japanese restaurants, a Thai restaurant, a hole-in-the-wall Hunan place, and an upscale ($20+ entrees) Italian restaurant. The other side of the street has no store fronts, but does prominently feature the ghost of Jack's.

I was wondering, what other blocks in the city are notable for diversity not only of cuisine, but of price range?
