D'Ital Shack

Brooklyn Boy | Oct 20, 2002 05:37 PM

This weekend I paid another visit to D'Ital Shack in Bed-Stuy and had a delicious lunch. BBQ tofu, veggie stew chunks, fritters, fried plantains, channa, string beans, veggie mac'n'cheese, and rice and peas. Plus, I tried an ackee patty, which was soooooo tasty. The guy behind the counter said ackee is great for reducing blood pressure (I'll have to Federal Express a few of 'em to my dad). All of this food cost only $8.00. If there are any vegetarian chowhounds out there, I encourage you all to give this place a try. It's on Halsey Street, just off Throop Avenue. Take the #26 bus to Throop, or the C train to Kingston Avenue.
