Disturbing trend at Hong Kong Wok, Sacto.

This has been our favorite won ton noodle shop in town. Big fat shrimp filled won tons in al dante noodles and flavorful soup. Yesterday we were there for lunch and was sorely disappointed. The won tons are now mostly ground pork, with just a slight hint of shrimp. As if that was not bad enough, the noodles are now overcooked and the soup too salty. This is a big let down. Maybe the chef has left. We also had the princess chicken rice, a similar dish to Hainan chicken rice minus the chicken fat in the rice. The chicken tasted like a free range bird, not fat and very good. The gai lan was plumb and green, if also just a little overcooked.

We still like this place. Just that we'll have to find another won ton noodle shop.
