Dish of the Month VOTING, July 2019

masha | Jun 25, 201904:12 PM     34

Welcome to the voting thread for the Home Cooking Dish of the Month (“DOTM”) for July 2019. The purpose of this thread is to cast votes to choose a dish that we all can cook and report on during the month of July.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated in the nomination thread for July. We nominated 30 different dishes, which may be a DOTM record. You can view the entire nomination process here, https://www.chowhound.com/post/dish-m....

Another DOTM record, I believe: There were six dishes that tied for the most nominations, with 5 apiece: Causa Limeña, English Muffins & Crumpets, Granita, Ice Cream, Paella, and Tapenade. We will be voting among them to select our July 2019 DOTM.

To Vote for your preferred dish, please click on – i.e., “heart” – the post below identifying the dish for which you’d like to vote.

**Only one vote per person, please.**

If you participate in the Voting, please plan on trying to prepare the selected dish at least once during July (although we know that stuff happens and sometimes the best-laid plans go amiss).

Please reply to this original post instead of replying to one of the nominations, If you have questions, or want to discuss dishes, This will keep the nominated dishes all posted together at the top of the page. Remember that clicking a heart won’t result in following a thread; if you wish to keep updated on new posts, just click “follow” under the title of this post.

If you’re new to Dish of the Month, or new to Chowhound, or if you’ve been lurking for a while, it’s a great time to join this series. Vote for a dish and join us in preparing and discussing that dish during the entire month of July.

Voting will be open until Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm EDT (2:00 PDT; 10:00 pm GMT.)

Edited to add: It has been called to my attention that Fattoush also received 5 nominations. A 7-way tie. Unbelievable! I am adding Fattoush to this Voting thread.
