Dish Ideas for a Potluck Appetizer Supper

herby | Jan 28, 201903:46 PM     27

I am going on a week-long retreat with a group of 14 ladies and on the fifth evening the plan is to have an appetizer supper where everyone will contribute a dish. So far the contributions are pumpernickel bread and dip; salmon ball; perogies; dessert; cheese plate. I would like to make something more main course like and would appreciate your ideas. I will bring groceries and anything pre-made/frozen. The house has well equipped kitchen including a slow cooker. One idea is to make meatballs and serve them in slow cooker in sweet and sour sauce of some kind. The other idea is to serve something in lettuce cups/wrap but it is fiddly and cold, might not be appreciated on a cold Quebec night.
TIA!
