Dish in Foggy Bottom/West End-short review

Had a work-related dinner last night at Dish. While it was perfectly adequate for the purpose in that service was efficient, noise level was fairly low and food was tasty but completely unremarkable it just reaffirms my preference for ethnic restaurants where you can spend far less for more memorable food.

The menu was fairly brief one soup, a couple of salads, a pasta app and a mussels app. The entrees were heavy on seafood and risotto was the only choice for vegetarians. Also, we noticed that there was no chocolate dessert choice.

I had a frisee salad with roquefort and cranberries, beef medallion with creamed spinach and fried potatoes (so tiny they resembled the fried onions that come out of the can) and banana bread pudding. All fine but nothing special. With entrees in the $25 range this is a lot to pay for mediocrity. Not a horrible choice if you're going to the KenCen but nothing I'd go out of my way for.
