I was at Cosun Galbi the other night with my boyfriend (who is caucasian/white), and they brought all but one panchan dish to our table... the same thing happened the other night when we went with his other three caucasian friends. I noticed that all the other tables had this panchan dish but it wasn't brought to our table whenever I went with my caucasian friends.
I've been there before with my asian friends, and they'll always bring this one panchan...
I read on this board awhile back a very funny story about Korean places discrimminating against non-asian populations. I know that it is not uncommon.
My most favorite part of going to a Korean restaurant is eating all the different pan chans. How do I make sure that I get ALL the panchans that I SHOULD be getting without having to walk to another all-asian table to compare???
Oh, that one panchan they didn't bring us at Chosun was the baby anchovies (Which I LOVE).
