discarded pea pods - how can I use them?

Sam | Mar 21, 2005 09:03 AM

I bought some great peas, and gobbled them directly from the pod. NowI am left with a mountain of greed pods on my kitchen table. There's so much pod for such a little amount of peas! Is there anything I can do with them? They are quite thick and big, not at all like mangetout. Should I make a vegetable stock by boiling them in water, and then use it for something like risotto?

I don't have a garden, so I unfortunately can't use them for compost. It seems a waste to throw so much fresh green stuff away...
