Just needed a little something to hold me thru Sat. nite so I got a slice at Pig's Pizza (Brigham Circle) cuz I wanted interesting toppings. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything too out of the ordinary available by the slice and I think you have to be *really* lucky with the slices (I haven't been the two times there). It was described as ragu w/ portobello mushroom. It was a good size slice but for $2.75, I want more than one and a quarter strip of portobello and it was pretty dried out. Order a whole pizza or make sure the pizza for slices just came out of the oven.

Bummer clams at Kelly's on Revere Beach yesterday. I know this isn't a prime place for clams anymore, but their clam roll was fairly decent last year (and only $8.95 w/ fries and rings), and I figured it'd be cooler by the beach. Wrong on both counts. Part of the reason may be that the counter guy gave it to someone I ran into by mistake, so I didn't get to it immediately. But those were mighty rubbery clams, the worst I think I've ever had. The rings are okay, tartar sauce was good and the roll was grilled nicely, but I hit them on a definite bad clam day.
