It's surprising that LA doesn't have more upscale Mexican restaurants. The only one that people recommend regularly is Babita, and so I wanted to like it. I ordered the snapper ceviche and the roast pork with a sauce of red wine, chipotle, and plum. The ceviche was very good, but the pork and its sauce had almost no flavor. I know others have liked it so maybe I ordered wrong, but at least I would avoid the pork.
I also stopped at the I Fu Tang Bakery nearby and got a very good poppy seed mochi, which was filled with dry poppy seeds, surprising and interesting.
