I was visiting SF over the weekend, and after much searching on chowhound, Gold Mountain seemed highly recommended by several postings. Well, I was sadly disappointed. The wait was actually not that bad, as the hostess seemed to move things along, but the quality of the dim sum was just so-so. I thought it was just me, but my party all agreed that we've definitely had better dim sum back in L.A.
The gem of a find in Berkeley's Milano Gelato was a definite delight, though. They make the gelato daily with fresh ingredients, and their sorbetto just screamed fresh fruit with a burst of ripe flavors. we tried lemon, mango, pineapple, and melon, and they were just fabulous... have to try it.
