Wow. Just wanted to warn chowhounders venturing into Woodland, Tazzina Bistro is not "worth it". Not really overpriced, but portions too small for the price--poor presentation, absolutely horrible gaufrettes (homemade potato chips....why?) food lacking in general.
Best choice in woodland- taco trucks, or purchase carnitas by the pound at Mis Amigos carniceria and market off of main street...
Davis...again, why is the food so bad in this college town? What CAN be very good: pizza at Village bakery- try the artichoke and goat cheese.
Best choice: sadly, cafe bernardo's.
disappointed by: Tucos wine bar/cafe and Seasons: the latter has probably the best mixed drinks and bar in town, but servers really put forth the hard sell and there is a general 'tude about the place.
Avoid: Pasta ?
Sacramento: what can I say, I tend to favor pho and vietnamese sandwiches myself but if pressed to actually spend money on a meal, the Waterboy does not disappoint. Would highly recommend a trip to this excellent establishment, at which care is put into the preparation of every dish, wine list seems carefully chosen, and service is excellent. (dessert sometimes leaves something to be desired, so would just go with an espresso or whatever.)
