Dirty Bird, mostly known as a rotisserie take-out, has expanded their W. 14th St. location to include table service and, more importantly, a very interesting wine program - seriously.
everyone that knows great wine doesn't have to be exclusive or expensive should find interest in their list. three reds by the glass, all at $10 or under. I didn't pay enough attention to the whites. started with a beautiful, organic, biodynamic gamay from Beaujolais, followed by a $7 cab franc! long list of bottles, many under $45, and with a strong focus on smaller producers and lesser-known regions.
the vibe at the tables is very much that of a fast casual chicken spot. i'm interested to return and sit at the bar.
