Dino's SUBLIME Broiled Chicken

Wanna know why I love LA? The Weather.
But another reason I love LA is the complete randomness of what food is going to be great and what food is going to be mass-market tasting. Take the chicken I just had on Pico and Vermont at Dino's; the resteraunt looked like every other mexican joint around it, claiming to specialize in pastrami, tacos, chicken, and hamburgers. Yeah right I said. The only reason I choose this place was that it was packed and I saw a newspaper clipping in their window.

So I ordered what the LA Times recomended: Chicken migshuguna (or some spanish version of that)It was amongst the best chickens i've had in my life. IT came out the color of tandoori chicken, but with the unmistakable tang of vinigered peppers. The moist half of a bird sat atop a heap of homecut french fries, slightly soggy from the juices of the spicy marinade. For $3.65, Im pretty sure I accidently found the best deal in all of Los Angeles.
