Dino Quick Review

Went to try Dino last night. Overall, food was pretty good. Portions were quite small. Prices were a little high for the portion size.

Restaurant had a nice wine list. Lots of nice Italian wines if that’s your thing.

For appetizers had their tomato bread soup and the mushroom tart. The soup was good but needed something else as it was very acidic. I tossed some pepper into it and it improved greatly. The mushroom tart was a small ramekin of sautéed mushrooms covered in a puff pastry. It was good but very small.

Also had a plate of their dried beef and arugala salad which was quite good. Very nice portion of the dried beef. Also ordered their Lasagna. It was a lasagna noodle filled with a veal/pork ragu and topped with some cheese. The quality was great and ragu was excellent, but I was expecting a little more food for my $20.

Overall, I think the place would be a nice date place. Lots and lots of good looking people eating there- probably the best looking crowd of any restaurant i've been to in a while. On the price to value side of things, its not a very good value. I think there are a lot of other places in town that offer a better mix of food, price, and portion size.
