I know there has been some discussion of the food at Peter Kellys new restaurant. I ate their Friday night and it was just a fantastic meal! I want to state from the start that I'm sure my meal was not typical. It was a special wine dinner with pairings that Peter made to match the wines. 2 members of my party were friends of his(1 a former Sous Chef).
Peter greeted us and spent a fair amount of time with us during the course of the dinner. I do not know if he himself cooked. The service and the food was the equal of anything I've had in NYC and better then anything in Fairfield County. Service was perfect and the food to die for. The food we had was as good as Xaviars. The atmosphere obviously not as intimate.
I'd be happy with a meal half as good as what we got. One of the top 10 meals of my life. Yes, it was that good! Again we got the FULL VIP TREATMENT. But it shows that when hitting on all cylinders this is a restaurant that can reach amazing heights.
One last item. The views are just breathtaking!!
