Dinner at Talia's

Went there last night to celebrate a family occasion. Glad to report it was an "on" night for them. Music good (last time the sound system sounded like it was dying), and everybody loved their entrees (2 steaks, one lamb chops and a stuffed chicken breast).

The highlight, though, was the postcard inserted in the menu, advertising their new Saturday night offering, "Talia's Lounge." Beginning this Saturday night, at 11pm (prior to 11, they're still serving dinner), they'll be offering drinks, hors d'oeuvres and music via DJ -- but no dancing! It says so explicitly on the card. Presumably the hashgacha wouldn't allow it -- reminds me of the Mendy's Millenium Eve story.

So what's next? Restaurants with mechitzas?
