One dinner, solo - Local to Homewood Suites - Bon Ton Cafe?

Monch | Jan 17, 201707:42 AM     9

Good morning NOLA hounds,

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but want to ask. I'm landing tomorrow afternoon, one day ahead of the rest of my party, and have a solo meal to which I am looking forward.

I'm staying at the Homewood Suites (Poydras at Baronne) and am thinking about Bon Ton Café. Only about four blocks.

Is Bon Ton Café conducive to single dining and should I consider a reservation? I am unfamiliar with the establishment. I am totally amenable to dining at the bar...if that is an option.

I am not heart-set on Bon Ton, but feel that I should try this restaurant as I've never been in my multiple, earlier, trips to New Orleans.

Advice and alternate ideas, within walking distance, are both appreciated.
