My husband and I celebrated an important anniversary last month, and due to family circumstances, we had decided against the big party we had tentatively planned the year before. Still, we wanted to mark the occasion in a special way, so we went to Louisville and stayed at the Seelbach, one of our favorite hotels. We had the tasting dinner at the Oak Room, and while it was pricey, each of the 10 courses was paired with a special wine. We had wonderful things, all prepared with fresh and in most cases, local, seasonal ingredients. We would highly recommend the dinner. Each course was wonderful, perfectly prepared and served. Excellence often comes with a price tag, but in this case, it was well worth it.
