We are meeting our daughter, son-in-law and her in-laws in Naples as a mid-way point between their place and ours. We'll be there for dinner about 5 p.m. on a Friday night. I'm responsible for finding the restaurant. It needs to be fairly moderately priced (mains in the $15 to 25 range), fairly casual (no jackets) but not grungy, preferrably with outdoor dining, on the waterfront a bonus but not a necessity. My search of this board and various websites leads me to consider the following about which I would welcome comments, suggestions, reactions, or alternatives: Thanks very much for any advice you can provide me.
Maxwell's on the Bay--too pricey?
821--how fusion is this place?
Boat House on Naples Bay--as good as it looks and sounds or just a place on the water?
Marie Michelle's--too pricey? too dressy?
Bleu Provence--I know it doesn't have outdoor but it looks cute enough to make me reconsider. Is the food as good as the place looks?
Trio's on 3rd St.
