Dinner or Dinner/Drinks in or Near SW Waterfront?

Hi there!

I am looking for a place to have birthday drinks or dinner for my husband on Thursday night before heading over to DC Cruises for the "Monuments by Moonlight" cruise at 9pm.

Here are the parameters:
-Ideally by Smithsonian or L'enfant Metro stops
-For 4-6 people
-Won't be too packed with Cinco de Mayo crowd
-Not too fancy - not so much concerned about price as dress code, business casual at most
-Price range: $15-$25 entree (roughly)
-If it's a place that serves dinner, ideally would have gluten-free and egg-free options (food allergies in the party)...if that's not possible, then just drinks will work.

Any cuisine is fine; would prefer to avoid Mexican as that could be crowded with Cinco celebrations and it seems we always resort to Thai to accommodate the food allergies, so having a different cuisine would be awesome!

Would also be open for options that would allow for fairly quick Metro or busing to the SW Waterfront area for the cruise after drinks/dinner if expanding the area would help. Thanks for any suggestions!
