Since I asked about Delmonico's in an earlier post, I thought I would report back on our dinner there last night. It was Thursday night and the place was packed, probably due to the big convention in town.
Service was pleasant and very professional. My wife and I shared a mixed green salad, crisp, nicely dressed and tasty. Her entree was the snapper with lentils and brussel sprouts, mine was the bone in NY steak. Her fish was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, moist and flaky on the inside which she really enjoyed. My steak was excellent, medium rare, nicely charred, flavorful and juicy.
Dessert was their signature banana cream pie. Wow! Full of bananas and cream, but surprisingly light, not a heavy pie at all, really delicious. We thought this is a keeper and would return here again on our next visit.
