One More Dinner

Debbie W | Aug 6, 2010 07:06 PM

I think we have fallen into somewhat of a rut, and I'd like to break out a bit. We were just in Vegas last week. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at LOS with janetofreno and her family, and we have been to LOS many times. We also went to Joe's Stone Crab, which we really enjoyed (don't kill me please). The third dinner was at Stratta as we were staying at the Wynn and had a resort credit to use, and we have had a few enjoyable dinners at Stratta. On our breakfast days we ate at Bouchon and Payard. On our lunch day we ate at Los Molcajetes. On our last day we had early lunch at the Wynn buffet which actually was very good, we are infrequent buffet goers so it was a treat.

This next trip, we will be repeating Joe's and another night will be a dine-around at MGM (where we go without reservations and eat a course at the bar of two or three restaurants - very fun to do). So I need a third dinner, not at the MGM, and maybe some lunch suggestions.

We'll have our car and can go anywhere. Wine is not important but cocktails are. We haven't tried any of the new restaurants in City Center though we took a look at some of the restaurants in the Aria a few months ago.

We use to go to Rosemary's quite often but haven't been for a couple years. Do they ever change their menu? Because it looks the same as it did when we were going a lot.

We don't need a steakhouse because we'll share a steak at Joe's. (Our favorite steakhouses in Vegas are N9NE and Craftsteak, and we have also been to Cut, Charlie Palmer Steak, Strip Steak, Delmonico, Circus Circus Steakhouse, probably others that I'm not recalling right now).

Restaurants we'd enjoyed in the past but haven't been to in awhile are FIX, Circo, Mesa Grill, DB Brasserie (RIP), Bar Charlie (ditto).

We've been to RM Seafood a few times but only once for dinner. I think I prefer it for lunch.

We did go to Raku once but think it's better with more than two people.

Places that have been only ok or went downhill or we haven't liked are Michael Mina (Bellagio), that restaurant at Bellagio in the hallway toward spa wing whose name eludes me right now), Alize, Fleur de Lys (great the first time a few years ago, less great subsequently), Aureole, Bradley Ogden, B&B.

We like Enoteca San Marco but more for lunch or dessert after dinner at Bouchon.

Have also been to Alex and L'Atelier - both are off the list for this trip.

Sorry for blabbing on for so long, especially since I haven't posted on this board for quite awhile. Any help is appreciated.
