Need Help: Dinner for 10-12 near to Grand Central for Quiet(ish) Work Discussion

OK, i realize there are a number of parameters here, but at least that might make it a little easier to narrow down options?
These are folks who volunteer for me. It has to be near Grand Central b/c of several commuters. Ideally, this wouldn't break the bank, as we're a non-profit but have a fairly generous budget, but not huge...
Probably Italian, Mediterranean, Pan-Latin/Asian, maybe Mexican if it's like Zarela/Rosa Mexicano.
The ambience needs to be on the quietish side, if there were a private room, that'd be terrific, but not necessary. Still, this is a young group (early 30s) so a somewhat vibe will perhaps get them to RSVP more readily.
The only thing I can come up with thus far is Branzini. Possibly Zarela, but maybe that's too party like and/or too far from the station.
Thanks so much guys!
